The KAUST Schools
were founded to educate the dependent children of the employees of the King
Abdullah University of Science and Technology.During the 2008-2009 school year, a Planning Team assembled by the
school contract provider, International Schools Services, met in Jeddah and
began the task of setting up the KAUST Schools.The team hired the Founding Faculty of 63 teachers and administrators,
organized the curriculum, prepared applications for the International
Baccalaureate programs, ordered supplies and curriculum materials, and assisted
with the construction of the school buildings.
We are unique in that we
serve all children within our community, providing our students with a
multicultural experience and the opportunity to learn from a diverse staff and
student body encompassing more than 20 nationalities.
